BREAKING NEWS: Hastings man dies in car crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a car accident on the A2100 Hastings Road near Battle at 10.20pm on Monday (September 21).

A grey Honda Civic was heading east when it collided with a black Landrover travelling on the other side of the carriageway, close to the Black Horse pub at Telham.

Emergency services were called but sadly the driver of the Honda, a 27-year-old man from Hastings, died at the scene.

The driver of the Landrover, a 48-year-old woman from London, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Conquest Hospital.

The road was closed for a few hours for recovery work and reopened at around 3.20am.

Witnesses are asked to email [email protected] or call 101 quoting Operation Lowden.
