BREAKING NEWS: Fire in Westfield playground

A fire has destroyed play equipment in a children’s park in Westfield this morning (Saturday).

Firefighters were called to the park on the main road through the village just before 9am after several 999 calls from the public.

A climbing frame was alight.

East Sussex fire and Rescue Service said foam and a hose reel were used to put the fire out.

Police are now investigating.
