A man who killed a Hastings woman nearly 30 years ago has been jailed after trying to murder a woman in Hove last year.
Keith Williams was sentenced to life in prison, with a minimum of 16 years, for the attempted murder of Amarius Hatton in Sackville Road, Hove, on September 8 2014.
Williams was previously convicted of the manslaughter of Melinda Croft in Hastings in 1986.
Sentencing Williams today (Monday, June 1), Judge David Renie said: “I’m satisfied there must be a discretionary life sentence in order to try to ensure the protection of the public.”
A reporter from the Hastings Observer was in court today and this story will be updated soon.
