Boy assaulted and robbed near St Leonards caravan park

A boy was assaulted and robbed while cycling past a St Leonards caravan park on Thursday (May 5).

The 16-year-old victim was on his mountain bike cycling past the entrance to Combe Haven Holiday Park at about 8pm when he was approached by man who asked him for directions.

He then grabbed the victim’s bag, punched him and stole his phone from his bag.

The suspect ran off into the caravan site.

The man is described as white, aged between 20 and 25, of medium build, with short brown hair that was spiked up with light coloured stubble.

He was well spoken and wore a grey jumper, dark jeans and dark coloured trainers.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police by emailing [email protected] or ring 101 quoting serial 1399 of 05/05.
