Bogus callers foiled in Lancing

TWO men conned their way into a flat in Seaview Court, Brighton Road, Lancing, on Tuesday, Ocotber 9 by saying they were checking the electricity supply.

One went into the kitchen and looked under sink then opened a larder door.

The resident then told them to leave which they did.

Nothing was stolen. Both were described as white and aged between 25 and 30, one was 5ft 10in tall and wearing dark trousers and a light top.

The other was 5ft 6in tall.

Earlier the same afternoon, two similar looking men called at a home in West Lane, Lancing, pretending they were from the waterboard but they were refused entry.
