The result of the eight-week improvement programme by Arun District Council has been welcomed by shoppers.

One of them, Jeannette Smith, 78, from Pagham, said: "The new toilets are a big improvement on the old ones. It's really nice to use them."

Paul Wotherspoon, in charge of Arun's environment services, said: "The provision of pleasant toilet facilities is a small but crucial element in making a visit to Bognor Regis all the more enjoyable for both residents, shoppers and those who come to admire the town's lovely seafront."
