Bognor model Sophie reaches semi-finals

All eyes are on Bognor Regis woman Sophie Muriel as she prepares to take part in the semi-final of a modelling contest.

Sophie (23) has been chosen as one of the ten semi-finalists competing for the title of the spectacle wearer of 2007.

The semi-final will take place at the Specsavers branch in Victoria, London, on August 15.

Sophie said: 'I am so excited to be chosen. I didn't think I'd would make it.

'It's so amazing that I stood out among all the entries.

'My friends and family are all really happy for me.

'I'm a little nervous but I can't wait for the night of the semi-final.'

One semi-finalist will be selected to take part in the competition's national final in London on October 9.

At stake is a one year modelling contract with a top agency, an all-inclusive holiday in the Caribbean, hair and beauty products and a Specsavers eyecare voucher.
