Body on Bexhill beach confirmed as St Leonards writer Sally Brampton

The body found on the beach in Bexhill on Tuesday (May 10) has been confirmed as popular agony aunt Sally Brampton from St Leonards.

But police have confirmed the identity of the body found below Galley Hill was Sally.

An air ambulance landed on the beach, but she was declared dead at the scene.

Victoria Health editor Gill Sinclair said Sally was last seen walking into the sea, but there are no witnesses who have come forward to confirm this fact.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw Sally at any time from the evening before up until the discovery of her body.
