Bodiam

Not for the first time Amicus Horizon, who try to look after the homes and the estate at Levetts Lane, have had to apologise about inspection dates. The date we all had was January 28, but the housing officer came round on January 27. How did this error take place Amicus Horizon - perhaps you are too big or you do not know what you are up too. Communication is poor, but if you do not pay your rent for a week you get a letter or a phone call.

I was so glad to get a full event listings from the National Trust. With not so many events, the number one at the csatle is sometimes not in the best of health so this will be helpful to him in his way. He puts in a lot of work for the castle and the village.

One of the events I will not go to is Uncovering Bodiam’s Secret History. I would not like my history in the village to be talked about - but perhaps it is.

Bodiam Community Friends is for linking residents who find it hard to leave their homes with local people willing to lend a helping hand. The friends will help with transport, sudden minor emergencies, collecting prescriptions, changing a light bulb etc. Ring 07771 402571 and leave a message. One of the volunteers will explain what the friends can do to help.

Their AGM takes place on April 2, 6pm at the Castle Inn, with refreshments.
