Blessing new hearse

A SEAFORD funeral director has called in a priest to bless her new hearse and limousine.

Rosemary Barker, of Seaford and Newhaven Funeral Service, Sutton Road, thought it appropriate for the blessing because of the significance and importance of the funeral procession and its vehicles.

'I am privileged to serve our local community at a time of special importance and need. The provision to our bereaved of vehicles that show a sense of occasion is pivotal to what is expected of us.

'My grateful thanks to Father Anthony Churchill for honouring this occasion with a blessing of our cortege,' she said.
