The Battle and Bexhill line rescue teams took part in a simulated cliff rescue from a site near Beachy Head, with a ‘casualty’ who had fallen and become trapped halfway down the cliff face.

The crew went over the cliff with a stretcher , bringing the ‘casualty’ to the top of the cliff.

Over at Rock-a-Nore,
Hastings firefighters rescued a ‘casualty’ who had fallen from the harbour wall on to the beach.

The crew used the aerial ladder platform to pitch from the car park, over the wall and fix a line recovery system to retrieve the casualty on a stretcher.

In other parts of the county, Eastbourne fire crews simulated a road traffic scenario while the Crowborough swift water rescue team rescued a ‘casualty’ from a river.
