Open Gardens events in aid of St Michael’s Hospice offer a rare opportunity to explore the secrets of hidden and private gardens not usually open to the public.
This year’s Open Garden programme has a spectacular list of gardens of all shapes and sizes throughout Hastings and Rother with over 50 beautiful gardens to explore, bursting with colour and inspiration for all garden lovers.
Sally Beresford, Community Fundraiser, St Michael’s Hospice said a spectacular collection of 11 gardens in Winchelsea will kick start the season on Tuesday May 5, boasting a mixture of traditional English cottage planting to stunning town gardening with mixed planting, adding: “We are extremely grateful to all our wonderful garden owners who will be opening their beautiful gardens for us this year. The Open Garden Season would not be possible without their dedication and generosity. We would also like to thank all our volunteers who will be freely giving up their time throughout the Open Garden season and to Manor Insurance, the booklet sponsors”
The Open Garden season runs May-October admission £4-£5 per garden. For further details contact Sally on 01424 456369.
