Beach huts burned down

A BEACH hut was destroyed by fire at the weekend and three others damaged.

Firefighters were called out from Bexhill community fire station on Saturday night to the blaze at Glyne Gap just after midnight.

Two fire engines attended the incident which resulted in one hut being burned down and two others “significantly” burned.

They had already responded earlier that day around 4pm when another beach hut was set on fire. The incidents are being treated as arson.

Inspector James Scott of Bexhill Police is appealing for anyone with information to call 0845 60 70 999, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
