Battle Guy competition

BATTEL Bonfire Boyes are holding a Guy Competition ahead of the town’s bonfire celebration on November 2.

The competition is open to individuals (aged under 16) and charities, clubs and schools.

The first prize is £100 for the best group and £25 for the best individual entry.

The Guys must be homemade and made from materials which will burn.

For obvious reasons, the Guys cannot be returned!

Bring your guy to the Abbey Green on Saturday November 2, ready for judging at 10.30am.

This year’s Battle Bonfire event will take place on the Abbey Green and is smaller than in previous years and people from outside the area, or who do not like crowds, are being urged to stay away.
