Bands play for foodbank

A band night took place at the Pig In Paradise on the seafront earlier this month in aid of the Hastings Foodbank.

The event was organised to raise food items for the foodbank.

Those attending were asked to donate a tin of food or dry goods on the door.

The bands came from across the region. They included Anthrax UK who came direct from Gatwick Airport after their flight from Oslo as they had been on a tour of Norway.

Other bands performing on the night included Russ Crimewave and DeKanDance from Canterbury and The Committed from the Isle of Sheppy.

There was also a performance by Matildas Scoundrels, Free Beer and Punka. Les Hook and the Hastings band Fuzz On organised the band night. Mark Fraser, co-singer with band Fuzz On, said: “It was a real success and the audience brought all sorts of things - tins of beans, dried goods and even sweets and even dog chews. It was all given to the Hastings Foodbank. It was a really good night and we plan to do another one later this year.”
