Aviation museum could be on the move

Tangmere aviation museum could become one of the biggest museums in the south of England if a plan to move it goes ahead in a few years time.

Although in the early stages of discussion the museum may have to move to expand and to stop it from being penned in by housing development.

The possible relocation could kill two birds with one stone, also securing the long-term future of the airfield control tower, which is weeks away from being granted a preservation order.

Museum trustee Keith Arnold (56) said there was a 70 per cent chance the museum could move in the next few years, but as there are several land owners on the airfield it could delay the plan.
