AN author paid a visit to a school’s nursery last week.
Trisha Bridger came to Parker Tots and Parker Kids, the childcare provision at William Parker Sports College.
She shared her literature and read her book Why can’t I fly to the Parker Tots children and Year 7 and 10 William Parker students.
Trisha also talked to the William Parker students and gave a preview of the new book Speedway, that is currently being written and, due to be published in August.
It is dedicated to the late Lee Richardson who was a former student of the college. She discussed the writing and publication process with the students in the hope that they would be inspired to enjoy reading and writing.
Emily-Jane Humphreys, manager of Parker Tots, said: “Trisha was very impressed with the William Parker students and full of praise for the children that she met. She has offered to come back and share her new book with us next term when it is published. Our thanks go to Trisha for taking the time to share her work with our children and we wish her success as her book is for a great cause”.
