The 28 people will be taking part in the tenth staging of the celebration of creativity.

Those involved include Janet Branscombe with painting and photography; Eamon McGuiness, painting; Eve Anderson, homecraft, Diana Gates, window designs; Sue Mahler, jewellery; and John Barrett, wood turning.

Artist Jacky Bellamy, who jointly founded the art trail, said: 'The event has survived so long because people are interested in the art on show and in going into other peoples' houses.

'It's enjoyable to share your work with people. As a painter, you need that feedback of what people think of your paintings.

'It's good for them to see art in the environment in which it is intended to be shown.

'If a painting is going to be hung in a dining room or a hallway, it is better seeing it in those places and the atmosphere original artwork can give to them rather than in galleries which can be rather sterile environments.'

The art trail has stayed the same size for the past few years. It regularly attracts several hundred visitors.
