A charity is making a final plea for help to make Christmas more special for local children and families in need.
The Education Futures Trust is issuing an appeal for any unwanted gifts or wrapping paper.
Carole Dixon, the charity’s chief executive, said: “Christmas is a very special time of the year but, sadly, for some families in Hastings there is little to look forward to.
“We are working with Surviving Christmas locally to try and bring a little festive cheer to the most disadvantaged children locally.
“We are therefore making a final plea for unwanted gifts or wrapping paper to help those children and families most in need.
“Without these donations, quite simply these families will have nothing for Christmas at all.
“We would like the donations by 4pm today (Friday, December 19) and would ask that they are brought to our office at The Firs, in Elphinstone Road.”
The Education Futures Trust is a charitable organisation which seeks to advance education for the public benefit in Hastings and Rye, and the surrounding area.
