Appeal after woman and girl assaulted in Hastings

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a woman and a 12-year-old girl in Hastings.

The victims were going to a fish and chip shop on Bexhill Road when they were approached by a man who spat at them and kicked the 42-year-old woman at about 8.30pm on Monday, April 25.

A 49-year-old Hastings man, was arrested on suspicion of assault.

He was questioned and released on bail until June 7.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police by emailing [email protected] or call 101 quoting serial 1449 of 25/04.
