Another Bible Week is planned for Bognor

Plans are well under way to hold another Bible Week in Bognor Regis.

The preparations for the religious occasion have already seen the headline speaker of Adrian Plass booked.

A well-known Christian writer, he is a popular figure on the religious events circuit.

The week will take place between September 20 and 27, 2009. Its venue has yet to be decided.

Its format will be largely based on this year's successful occasion two months ago.

An estimated 4,000 people attended the talks, prayer meetings and concerts at the Royal Norfolk Hotel. Several fringe events featured churches around Bognor, such as St Wilfrid's, which staged an art exhibition.

An evening occasion at the hotel on Tuesday saw the week's organisers and the hotel's operator, Christ for the Nations UK, thank the 30 volunteers who helped the inaugural week run smoothly.

Dr Judith Lee, the director of studies at CFN's Bible college, said: "We were very happy with the way this year's Bible Week went.

"We had about 20 people who stayed at the hotel all week. The others came from Portsmouth, Worthing and inland for different days. We are sure Adrian Plass will be a very popular speaker."
