AMBER Rudd is Sussex’s sexiest MP according to a new online poll

The Conservative, who represents Hastings and nearby Rye, is ranked higher than any of her county colleagues on new website

Visitors to the site are shown a pair of photographs and asked which pictured MP they would rather have sex with. The results are then fed into the overall rankings.

As of yesterday (Thursday), Ms Rudd was sitting in 36th place of the 144 women currently in Parliament and 79th overall (out of 648 MPs).

And her stats showed that in her head-to-heads the Conservative was picked 10,446 times compared to losing out in 4,710 votes.

That means two thirds of the people posed the question preferred Ms Rudd - who appeared as an extra in Brit rom com Four Weddings And A Funeral alongside dashing Hugh Grant - to her opponent.

The next ranking Sussex MP was Crawley’s Henry Smith (number 83 overall) while Bexhill’s Greg Barker languished in 387th with Eastbourne’s Stephen Lloyd only slightly better in 348th.

Bottom of the Sussex chart were Lewes’s Norman Baker (628) and Mid Sussex’s Nicholas Soames (631).

The website has been designed by current reality TV star and diamond-mine heir Francis Boulle. The 22-year-old, who features in TV show Made In Chelsea, said he has built the site to help people recognised their MP and make politics more accessible to young people.

He said: “In addition to my wanting to create a fun and memorable tool to help the British public get to know their Members of Parliament, I thought it would be an interesting opportunity to hold the first ever parliamentary beauty contest and find out once and for all which MPs and parties have the most sex appeal.”

He added that he hoped MPs would ‘see the funny side of it’.

Ms Rudd certainly seemed to. When contacted by the Observer she said she did not want to make any official comment, but that she was happy to be around the top 10 per cent.

She added: “It is certainly a list you don’t really want to finish bottom of.”

Top of the tree was Labour’s Luciana Berger, who represents Liverpool, Wavertree.
