Children's entries included some delicious carrot cakes and creative gardens in a seed tray.

Michael Taylor from the Landport allotment site received the most points in the competitive part of the show, and was presented with a small silver spade crafted by local Silversmith, Simon Beer.

Refreshments were provided by Lewes vegetarian restaurant Seasons and local beer from Harvey's. Waitrose, Tesco, Homebase and Barbican Carpets all donated raffle prizes. The proceeds will go to the Mayor's two charities, the East Sussex Association for the Blind and the British Heart Foundation.
