The Hastings Stage Studio’s production of Dick Whittington & His Cat is back by popular demand.

The cast members range from just three years to adult.

Directors John and Vanessa Pohlhammer bring their years of professional experience to another great production, taking full advantage of John’s many years as comedy actor and resident director with the Reduced Shakespeare Company when re-writing the script with valuable input from the talented cast.

A reviewer of the 2009 show said: “Epic...a magical mix with the perfect balance of great songs, dance and humour...Who needs to import half-forgotten soap actors when you have this sort of quality right here.

“The quick-fire script cracks along at an amazing pace fitting in an incredible number of jokes and quips.”

Mix in fantastic vocals in six-part harmony with inspired dancing in full production numbers and clever parodies of hits by Michael Jackson, Queen, The Beatles, Matt Monro, Styx, Enya, Disney, 50’s doo-wop and more, and you’ve got a show with something for everyone!

“We’re so proud of this cast, pushing themselves to their full potential,” said co-director and choreographer Vanessa Pohlhammer. Their dedication and professional performance level is quite remarkable.

“Best of all, there is such a great atmosphere in the rehearsals, full of fun and laughter. Britain has got talent, and we can’t wait for people to see how much of it is right here in Hastings!”

Discounts on tickets are available for Children, OAPs, Families of four and group bookings.
