Airwaves set to rock again in May

Hastings Rock Radio will return to the airwaves next month.

The station will return between May 2 and May 29 to celebrate its 22nd year and will broadcast on 87.7 FM to Hastings and surrounding areas plus worldwide online.

The station will be based at The Robert De Mortain located on The Ridge and will once again broadcast its unique interactive mix of audience participation and rock music 24 hours a day.

Chairman Tony Bell is looking forward to this year’s broadcast and he describes the station as “an institution in Hastings”.

Tony said: “There is always a sense of anticipation around the town when May approaches and Hastings Rock is due to return.

“This year we will rock everyone right up to the last day of the month when the Hastings Rock Music Fest takes place.”

Hastings Rock supports St Michael’s Hospice through raising awareness. It is not-for-profit and is run purely by volunteers.

It relies on local support to keep the broadcast going each year and is always looking for local businesses to support the station. For information visit or the Hastings Rock Facebook page.
