AN afternoon of live music and entertainment is taking place on Sunday at Horntye Park. The fayre, which will focus on environmental issues, starts at noon and runs until midnight.
The event at the cricket ground by Horntye Park Sports Complex is being held to raise money for the Tree of Hope, a charity that pays for sick children’s medical treatment.
There will be dozens of stalls, children’s activities including art and recycling from local art group, Inspire, as well as raffles, competitions and workshops.
Children will also have the chance to have their faces painted and play on a bouncy castle.
The event includes poetry and speakers on environmental awareness issues, as well as a beer tent and barbecue outdoors.
Music from the marquee will feature acoustics and live bands. Sambalanca will be entertaining in the afternoon along with local singer/songwriters and poets, and the evening features bands Shy Chlo, The Tractors, The Flowing, Silentime (Bloodline) and Kangeroo Juice.
