Adur's quiz for Black History Month

BLACK History Month is being supported by Adur Council throughout October, promoting the history, knowledge and experience of African and Caribbean culture in the district.

To mark the month people are invited to take part in a quiz about prominent African and Caribbean men and women.

Pick up a copy at the display in the council's Civic Centre, Ham Road, Shoreham.

The quiz can also be found on the council's website www.adur.gov.uk

The winner will receive a 50 WH Smith gift voucher. Closing date for entries is November 2.

Libraries in Lancing and Southwick will also have displays and quiz forms during the last two weeks of October and story times will have an African Caribbean theme.

Black History Month is marking its 20th anniversary in the UK having originated in the United States in 1926.
