INTERNATIONALLY famous Treorchy Male Choir pays its first ever visit to the town in October, at the start of Hastings Week.
The choir, from the Rhondda Valley, has performed around the world, including South Africa and the Sydney Opera House, Australia, and have appeared in numerous television programmes.
The concert will take place on Saturday, October 12 at St Clement’s Church, in the Old Town.
This event marks the completion of major improvement works at the church, and is being organised by the Two Towers Trust, a charity set up to preserve the fabric of the Old Town’s two mediaeval churches.
Kevin Boorman chairs the charity’s events committee and said: “We are very honoured to have Treorchy Male Choir sing for us, and it is making the journey here from South Wales especially for this concert.
“Tickets cost just £15, from the tourist information centre in Breeds Place.
“Space is limited, so I would urge anyone who is interested to buy their tickets as soon as possible.”
