ARK WILLIAM Parker Academy has received the Full Investors in Careers Award.

The award is used as a quality standard for the management of careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) and is now the most widely used quality award of its kind, recognised nationally across the country, and is about improving students’ awareness of opportunities, raising their aspirations and working with them to ensure they achieve their full potential.

All students at ARK William Parker Academy experience careers related learning through a variety of different events.

These events include: university workshops, residential summer schools, taster days and careers workshops with local businesses and employers.

Marie Byas, the academy’s careers advisor, said: “I am delighted that we have achieved the Full Investors in Careers Award.

“At ARK William Parker we are delivering an excellent CEIAG and Work-Related Learning programme and our staff should be congratulated on all they do to make it such a success.”
