PETER Knight’s Gigspanner will be taking to the stage at The Stade Open Space, Hastings, tomorrow (Saturday) as part of the Stade Saturdays programme.
The free gig will start at 7.30pm.
Councillor Peter Chowney, lead member for regeneration at Hastings Borough Council, said: “Gigspanner’s Peter Knight is probably one of this country’s best known and loved fiddle players and together with Roger Flack on guitar and Vincent Salzfaas on congas and djembe this promises to be a very entertaining evening.”
Gigspanner’s debut album Lipreading the Poet was named by The Wire as one of the best 15 Global Albums of 2009.
The band will perform its mix of Eastern European, French, Cajun and African with Aboriginal influences.
Next Saturday (July 6), The Tiger Lillies will perform.
