A Hastings visitor attraction is marking its 40 years in trade by helping a local charity.

Hastings Adventure Golf opened its doors in 1975 and has since welcomed thousands of golfers.

To celebrate the achievement it has presented 40 free passes to Charity for Kids and is running a great golf giveaway tomorrow (Saturday), from 10am to 5pm, the start of its longer summer opening hours.

Paul Harris, chairman of Charity for Kids, said: “We really appreciate this kind donation to our charity. Many of the children and families we support will really enjoy this.

“As a local charity that supports local children, it is great to get this support from another local attraction.”

Hastings Adventure Golf is run by husband-and-wife team, Chris and Sarah Richards.

Chris said: “Forty years is a great achievement and shows how popular the game is. We are delighted to be able to give something back to our community.

“We have overseen a lot of changes to the Hastings attraction in the last four decades and look forward to the years ahead as we continue to develop the site.”

He added that investment in the attraction has paid dividends with a much-coveted Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence being awarded to the business last year.

Charity for Kids was set up in summer 2011 to help support sick and disabled children across Hastings and Rother, as well as their families.

The charity holds various fundraising events throughout the year.

Since the organisation was set up almost four years ago scores of disabled youngsters and their families have been helped.
