A healthy cash boost for groups across Arun

A HEALTHY sum of cash is available for community and charity groups helping to promote well-being in the Arun district.

Grants of up to £500 are on offer for not-for-profit organisations as part of the Arun Well-being Team’s partnership small grants scheme.

To be eligible for funding, groups and organisations must demonstrate their activities either promote or support one or more of the Arun well-being and health partnership priorities.

These include prevention of ill-health, information, improving mental wellbeing, tackling health inequalities, providing services for older people to enable better quality of life, and working with families, young people and children on a range of lifestyle issues.

Councillor Paul Wotherspoon, Arun District Council’s cabinet member for community services, said: “I would recommend taking advantage of these grants as they help support voluntary, charity and community groups and the vital work they provide to residents.”

The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 3, and applications will be considered by an appraisal panel during the first week in May. For details, contact Claire Dower on 01903 737862 or Joy Bradbury-Ball on 01903 737855 or email [email protected]
