100 Jobs in 100 Days campaign launch

AN AGENCY has launched a campaign to urge businesses in the area to pledge support in helping jobseekers back into work.

Avanta Enterprise Ltd is setting up its 100 Jobs in 100 Days initiative on Monday (March 24).

The agency is currently supporting long-term unemployed jobseekers that have been referred from Hastings Jobcentre Plus, as part of the Work Programme.

Rebecca Brokenshire, employer relationship manager at Avanta Hastings, said: “We make it easy for companies to hire exactly the people they need.

“We have changed the hiring experience of employers like Sainsbury’s and Park Beck Care Home, and we want to encourage more employers to let us take the strain of their recruitment needs by pledging vacancies with us.”

Brett McLean, chairman of East Sussex Federation of Small Businesses, is backing the initiative and several firms have already promised to pledge to the campaign, which officially launches on Monday at Avanta’s offices at 6 Bank Buildings, Station Road.

Employers are invited to attend from 11am and should register their attendance by email to Rebecca.brokenshire@avanta.uk.com.
