£1,000 boost for good causes

A CONVENIENCE store has raised £1,500 for local good causes.

Costcutter in Battle Road, St Leonards, has donated £1,000 to St Matthews Church in Silverhill and £500 to the Pulse school of movement in Bohemia Road.

The total amount the store has donated to charity to date is £3,500.

Manager Shane Dove said: “The Making A Difference Fund is generated by some of our suppliers who donate a certain amount of money every time one of their marked products are sold in our store. I am delighted that we have managed to raise so much in this way.”
