Take a quill to celebrate local writers success story

Shorelink Writers meet almost every Monday throughout the year and Chair of the group Sally Gardner says in this year when we are celebrating so much of our heritage and achievements the town should be proud of hosting this lively group. “The large group of people meet at the RVS Centre, St Leonards,” she said. “Drawn from all over 1066 country. Hastings, Battle, Brede, Eastbourne – they come from near and far.

“What is their purpose, I hear you cry? In true Shakespearean vein, I reply, ‘why, by my pen and paper, good Sirs, we come to write!’ For these are the members of Shorelink Writers, active and productive in the town for over twenty five years.”

Members come from all walks of life and all age groups. Their mission is to light up the world with prose and poetry. www.shorelinkwriters.co.uk
