The world-famous show Holiday on Ice has returned to Brighton in a kaleidoscope of colour, directed and choreographed by none other than Olympic and four-time world champion, Christopher Dean.

In its 72nd year the ice show takes on the theme ‘Believe’, depicting a modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet without the tragic ending.

The main characters Antonio and Clarissa - played by husband and wife ice extraordinaires Andrew Buchanan and Robin Johnstone - live in very separate worlds. Antonio lives in the Under World, a tough working community ruled by ‘The Boss’. Clarissa lives in the Upper World - ruled by Disney villain-esque pair Julius and Julia - where ‘every day is a party and money is king’. But the two protagonists feel alienated in their own communities, and it’s not long before two very different worlds collide, causing chaos.

With a cast made up of former Olympians and ice-skating champions, the story is told through skilled skating, amazing acrobatics and spectacular stunts. Special effects and high-tech costumes add to the magic of this year’s show, which as ever, does not disappoint.

BELIEVE opened at The Brighton Centre on Wednesday, January 4, and runs until Sunday, January 8. For tickets, visit www.brightoncentre.co.uk or call the box office on 0844 847 1538.
