Intimate performance of well-loved musical

Renaissance Theatre company will be presenting the much loved musical ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ at The Phoenix Arts Centre, Parkstone Road, Hastings on April 11, 12 and 13 in aid of St Michael’s Hospice.

The theatre company was set up in 2009 following the loss of two close friends, and has so far raised over £23,000 for the Hospice. BAFTA award winning actor Darren Boyd is patron.

Fiddler on the Roof features Tevye the milkman and his wife Golde, and the people of Anatevka, a small Jewish settlement in Russia. It is 1905 and the first rumblings of the Russian Revolution are to be heard.

Taking on role of Tevye will be local actor Dave Wellman. This production is going to slightly different in that it will be performed ‘in the round’ giving the performance a more intimate feel.
