If this sounds like your ideal night out, then Battle Light Opera Group’s production of Thoroughly Modern Millie is the one for you.

Director Keren Keeler-Moore has teamed up with musical director Andrew Gill to bring the fun, glamorous musical to the Battle Memorial Hall on May 8, 9 and 10.

The title role of Millie Dillmount - a small-town girl who comes to New York City to marry for money instead of love - is played by Alison Campion.

Other leading players are Sheila Crighton as Mrs Meers, Mark Stevens as Jimmy, Bob Murray as Mr Graydon, Sharon Gordon as Muzzy, Charlotte Collins as Miss Flannery, Natascha Lampert as Miss Dorothy and the two ‘Chinese’ parts played by Sharon Sellens as Bun Foo and Oliver Mann as Ching Ho.

They will be ably supported by other members of the BLOG cast.

Tickets cost £12 for Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, with children at £6.

For the Saturday matinee, tickets will cost £10, or £5 for children.

There will be a drinks bar for the evening performances with tea/coffee and biscuits included at the Saturday matinee.
