An evening of Valentine’s tango

A ROMANTIC evening of Argentine tango is to take place at Hastings Museum and Art Gallery on February 15.

The ‘Valentine’s Tango’ event will run from 7pm to 10.30pm, with dancing in the Durbar Hall, and the Long Gallery transformed into a ‘Tango Salon’.

Live music will come from international tango group Pinta Brava Trio, a unique collaboration between London-based Argentine singer Guillermo Rozenthuler and Dutch bandoneon/guitar duo Gerard van Duinen and Mirek Walton.

The trio will play tangos, milongas and valses with a passion and melancholy so typical of Argentine tango.

Plus, there will be a special guest appearance by the Hastings-based international composer and pianist Polo Piatti who will premiere a brand new composition specially dedicated to the Hastings Tango Club.

A beginners’ introduction to tango will run in the Durbar Hall from 7.15 to 8.00 pm. Call Phil White on 01424 720213 to book.

Tickets are £10 in advance and £12 on the door.
