Celebrating the coming of spring

Firstly, a reprise of the seminal Hastings Jack-in-the-Green tribute The Ceremony of May.

Hear Rose Blakeley’s evocative words fused with Garry Blakeley’s folk-rock music. Musicians Edd Blakeley, Jon Ewen and Phil Hudson, and Jane Downes complete the line-up.

This is followed by Thomas Hardy’s Day, which fuses music from Hardy’s manuscripts with his lyrics and narrative.

The audience is invited to dress in green (along with facepaint, masks etc) to have the chance each night to win one of Rose Blakeley’s Green Man artworks.
