Although celebrating the style of cornetist Lu Watters and the Yerba Buenna Jazz Band who played in the San Francisco area during the revival period of 1938-1940, the band does not strive to copy Lu Watters to the letter - rather they embrace the feel of the music and a host of other classic numbers from the New Orleans period of the 1920s.

A band with a very strong rhythm and one of the best to dance to.

Playing tonight in the Lu Watters layout, on the front line, John Collinson (piano), John Arthy (sousaphone), Pete Lay (drums) and Peter Gregory on banjo.

Making up the back line are David Rance (first trumpet), Mike Barry (second trumpet), Graham Wiseman (trombone) and Geoff Dubber (clarinet).

Tonight’s session starts at 8pm and entry is £7 for members and £9 for non-members. Free parking is available close by.
