Aussie artist takes over DLWP

The show runs until June 23 and includes works both inside and outside of the galleries.

Triumph Daytona 675 Intersection features a motorcycle embedded into a wall in the foyer, while Mini Ramp Intersection located on the Roof Terrace, functions as a BMX and skate ramp.

Inside, the artist extends his interest in mythological figures and cultural stories. For this exhibition, he takes the figure of Jack-in-the-Green, and features him in a series of videos that depict Jack riding motor vehicles through a variety of different environments.

Shaun said that so far there had been a very positive response to the show.

“I have been surprised because some of the work is not that easy to get your head around, but people have been really open to the work.

“Interaction is a big part of the Mini Ramp Intersection installation.

“People using the space at the front of the pavilion, might not feel that welcome to come in. I like the idea that they get to have the best spot in town.”

Shaun was at the DLWP earlier this week documenting the show.

He aims to put together a collage that shows how the exhibition changes over time.

This is another key element of Cycles of Radical Will, that by June 23, when the exhibition closes, it could look very different.

He said: “Taking over the entire building is a really exciting prospect.

“I don’t consider any of the work finished.

“I’m going to keep evolving the show.”
