However the site needed some ‘final preparations’ and the NHS had to wait for it to stop being used as Covid testing centre.
The vaccination appointments then had to be cancelled for now.
A spokesperson for Sussex Commissioners said: “We are very sorry for any confusion caused to some patients who may have received an initial appointment for a Covid-19 vaccination at a GP led service in Perrymount Road.

“We can assure all of these patients that they will be able to receive the vaccination soon and a new appointment will be rearranged as soon as possible.
“Final readiness checks are currently being completed on the site and we are confident that we will be able to start vaccinating there in the coming weeks.
“In line with areas across the country, GP led vaccination services are being rolled out across our communities over December and January.
“People are asked to please not contact your GP practice to ask about COVID-19 vaccinations, you will contact you as soon as they are available.”
