Areas can now be put under one of three risk levels - medium, high or very high - largely depending on the number of infections recorded per 100,000 people.

Every local authority in East Sussex is currently at a medium risk level, meaning residents have to abide by the rule of six and pubs/restaurants adhere to a 10pm curfew.

As a rule of thumb, areas with infection rates of more than 100 per 100,000 people are nearing 'high risk' and being placed under a local lockdown.
