Francesca Grando, principal of Hastings School of Contemporary Dance (HSCD), said: “100 per cent of our students achieved A*-B (9-6) with 66 per cent of them achieving A*-A (9-7).

“This is a fantastic result for our first GCSE cohort and we are extremely proud of them all.

“Even throughout the testing times, our students remained calm, focused and achieved strong results. More astonishingly our students took their GCSE in year 10, one year earlier than their peers. Well done dancers!

“Hastings School of Contemporary Dance is the only dance school in the surrounding area to provide GCSE Dance outside of school.

Students in year 9-12 can now enrol into our two-year GCSE dance course for this September. For more information, please contact us at [email protected].
