Rumboldswhyke CE Infants School was saved at the eleventh hour when the regional schools commissioner supported plans for it to become part of the Bishop Luffa Trust.

The school and the trust will be sharing resources and expertise to ensure Rumboldswhyke continues to go from strength to strength.

I have been overwhelmed with offers of help and we hope to have lots of Bishop Luffa students regularly visiting Rumboldswhyke to help with reading, maths, sport, art and drama.

“We are also looking forward to the children coming to visit us at Bishop Luffa, where they will be able to use our specialist facilities like technology rooms, science labs and musical instruments. Both schools will benefit from working together and we can’t wait to get started.”

The photographs show Rumboldswhyke children pond dipping in the school grounds. Outside learning has featured highly over the last few months with the children regularly accessing the Forest school area and enclosed pond area.
