Breakfast club funding for Climping school

A VITAL school breakfast club in Climping will now have some extra funding to tuck into, after it received a welcome slice of £230,000 from Kellogg’s.

St Mary’s CE Primary School will be able to buy plenty of cereal, after the institution was awarded a £250 grant to help support its breakfast club, on Monday (March 12).

Head teacher Mrs Llewelyn said: “Breakfast clubs are a lifeline for many children but with budgets being tight they could sadly become an unaffordable luxury in future.”

The money will be spent on new cutlery as well as some of the children’s favourite cereals.

The school is one of 500 that Kellogg’s is backing, nationwide, in its help give a child breakfast campaign, launched in October.
