Hair salons to reopen this weekend: what will it look like?

The owners of a hair salon in St Leonards have revealed what returning customers can expect when the business reopens on Saturday (July 4).

Creations Hair and Beauty Salon, in Fernside Avenue, St Leonards, will reopen to the public at 9am. Owners Lesley Harding and Laura Bates have been working behind the scenes preparing the salon for Saturday and have outlined what customers can expect. Staff will be required to wear visors while they are with their clients, chairs will be spaced apart by at least a metre, the wash basins will be separated by screens, all items will be cleaned before and after use and customers must book their appointments in advance – customers cannot turn up without booking. Laura said: “All precautions will be taken. Please be respectful of what local businesses are trying to do. No business wants to be shut down again so we have taken every precaution possible to ensure everybody is safe.” Take a look inside the salon:
