Pop meets opera in Battle celebration

Battle goes P'opera on June 18 when the Emmanuel Centre welcomes Opera South East from 7pm.

The evening will include well-known classics including Carmen, Tosca and La Traviata, a selection of familiar Neapolitan songs, some Gilbert and Sullivan, songs from South Pacific, Swing Time, and With a Song In My Heart. An added attraction will be two special guests - tenor Gary Marriott and baritone Barnaby Beer.

Opera South East will be led by musical director Ken Roberts in a light and tuneful programme suitable for the whole family. During the interval fizz and strawberries will be served on the terrace included in the ticket price.
