Picks of the exhibitions in first week of Coastal Currents

Fish, an exhibition of drawings by Suzan Aral, of the summer catch in a small northeast Aegean fishing village, will be at St Mary in the Castle, Pelham Crescent, Hastings from September 21 to October 6, 11am to 4pm.

Broken Roads and Shrinking Magic, bringing together the sculpture of Hermione Allsopp and Paintings of Joe Packer, is at Electro Studios Project Space, Seaside Road, St Leonards, from September 20 to 22, noon to 4pm.

A series of illustrations of iconic movie characters by Thom Kofoed will be on display at the Electric Palace Cinema, High Street, Hastings, from September 21 to October 6, Thursday, 10.30am-1.30pm; 7.15pm-10.30pm and Fri to Sun 7.15pm-10.30pm.

Illuminations, an exhibition of work by the young people of Respond Academy will be at 17a Silchester Mews, Silchester Road, St Leonards, from September 23 to October 6.
